Surveys in New York and London show that noise
problems rate more highly and affect more people
than crime. Doctors and scientists now realise that
even relatively low levels of noise over long periods
can cause a range of serious health problems.

Noise control in buildings is an effective method to
reduce the problem and acoustical insulation products
are the answer. National and local authorities
are constantly upgrading requirements to limit
noise levels by improving the building code.

We offer a range of products to reduce the
effects of noises from both inside and outside your
building, from external traffic noise to loud music
or blaring TV from neighbouring apartments.

PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS

Dense polyester or sheep’s wool batts
	Absorbs sound when used in ceilings, walls, under
	floors and around all types of ducts and machinery, either individually or combined with other products
	Becomes a de-coupling agent (a compliant
	separator that reduces sound waves) when used in conjunction with other noise barrier products
Loaded vinyl barriers

	Dense flexible curtains that exhibit high noise
	reflection capabilities due to their high mass to stiffness ratio
	Constructed from PVC, encapsulating barium for
	high density, in sheet form supported by a woven fabric
Loaded vinyl barriers are used for:
	Increasing transmission loss of walls, floors and
	ceilings (aircraft noise)
	Baffling for reduction of cross-talk (offices with
	suspended ceilings)
	Curtaining of noisy factories and indoor/ outdoor
	machinery (motors in factories, trucks and boats)
	Optional decorative and protective surfaces are

Pipe wrap
	A composite of loaded vinyl and acoustic foam
	insulation
	Used to reduce the noise breakout from pipes for
	water, waste or air, as in drainage pipes and airconditioning ducts
	The foiled vinyl exterior is fire-resistant and is fixed
	by aluminium tape
Layered Insulation
	Layered insulation of polyester blankets placed
	above acoustic partitions in offices between the suspended ceiling and the concrete slab above
	BaffleBlock eliminates cross-talk and can also mould
	around service ducting to further reduce noise
Impact mounts
	Made of a variety of products and installed between
	‘hard’ floors and structural work to reduce the noise caused by impact vibrating through a structure
	Noises as simple as shoes impacting on tiles or as
	complex as machinery can penetrate through a building
Reverberation
	Reverberation fabrics made of composite materials
	in a large range of colours can be installed on walls, ceilings and furniture
	These reduce the echo of noises that bounce off
	surfaces and also become a decorative feature
